About SOS

Our Mission

The mission of SOS is to improve the health of our communities by providing superior education, service, and the equipment necessary to help patients sleep, breathe, and live better.

Our Qualifications

SOS was established in 2003 by an experienced team of home medical equipment industry veterans.

Over the years we have attracted a team that is not only experienced in respiratory care, but also a team who cares deeply for the people that we serve. We have become an “employer of choice” for the best people in the industry, because we allow our people to make decisions that are in the best interest of our customers.

Currently, more than 20% of our employees are licensed Respiratory Therapists or Registered Sleep Technicians. We have more clinical expertise than the typical home medical equipment company.

  • SOS is recognized by Medicare to meet the home medical equipment needs of seniors.
  • SOS meets all 30 Medicare Supplier Standards (PDF download)
  • SOS is accredited by HQAA.
  • SOS is a member of the VGM Group national network of home care providers.

Sound Oxygen Service (SOS)

Sound Oxygen Service (SOS) helps the people of Washington and Northern Idaho breathe and sleep easier with high-quality home medical equipment and dedicated, professional, in-home service for oxygen and sleep apnea medical equipment needs.

With local offices across the state, SOS’ friendly and professional staff is committed to timely service and hands-on training to help our patients breathe easier. By providing innovative technologies and processes, SOS enhances respiratory health—helping patients maintain their independence longer; and keeping family members, care givers and medical professionals better informed of patient progress in order to improve patient quality of life.

Many face the challenges of dealing with degenerating health conditions that require in-home medical support and care. Those affected by this change are often fearful of the uncertainties associated with a new medically assisted lifestyle. They, and their families, are often concerned about the complexities of in-home medical equipment usage and the prospects of an increasing dependence on inconvenient and limiting medical devices. Many patients feel helpless, wondering if they’ll ever get better or ever lead active lives again.

SOS’s products and professional services are designed to help you breathe easier—enhancing respiratory health and independence for patients throughout the state (Seattle, Tacoma, Olympic & Kitsap Peninsulas, Everett, Spokane & Coeur d’Alane, Central Washington, Tri-Cities, Yakima) and improving patient quality of life. The company’s friendly and professional technicians provide installation and personal training to make patients more comfortable, more informed and in many cases more active. Our technicians and staff act as liaisons between patients and medical professionals, making sure patients have the appropriate equipment they need.

Our Standards

SOS maintains the highest standards of service, keeping physicians and other clinical professionals informed of the latest medical equipment advances and ongoing patient statistics and feedback.
