Can I connect 2 hoses together, to make one 12ft hose?
Check with your provider, some machines can be calibrated for a longer hose but not all machines can. If you have a longer hose that your machine can recognize then your therapy may not be adequate for your needs.

Does my machine need maintenance?
Just cleaning; the filters and humidifier tank need to be cleaned. The machine otherwise is maintenance free.

There is an error code on my machine, what do I do?

How long is the warranty on my machine?
The manufacturers warranty is 2 years but we give 1 year on top of that, so 3 years.

I have water in my mask, is this normal?
Yes! As the warm, moist air cools it will cause condensation (rain out) in your mask. Wrapping the tube or reducing the humidifier level will help reduce the rain out.

My insurance has changed, what do I do?

How often can I get supplies?
Most insurances cover new supplies every 3-6 months. Call our office for more detailed information.

Can Sound Oxygen Service write off my co-pay?
No, the agreement that you made with the insurance company when you accepted their coverage requires that you pay the deductible.

Machines have gotten smaller and quieter since I was set up, can I exchange my unit for a smaller newer one?
No, your insurance company paid for the machine that you currently have. Unfortunately coverage is not available solely for a smaller machine. However if your machine is greater than 5 years old, and/or your insurance has changed give us a call to discuss your options.

It has been more than a year since I’ve seen my sleep doctor and I need supplies, can I still get them?
Yes but you will need a new prescription. We cannot sale any supplies without a prescription due to federal regulation.

No, you need to contact you sleep doctor. Your needs may have changed.

Can you drop the pressure for me?
No, this requires a prescription from your doctor.

I have lost a lot of weight. Can you drop my pressure?
It is possible to lower the pressure, however we would need a prescription from you physician to do so.

Will I always have to use a CPAP unit?
Your CPAP (continous positive airway pressure) unit is not a cure, but therapy. As long as your condition remains unchanged, the CPAP will most likely need to be used.
